PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for processing multiple video input signals in a display device are provided to switch input/output paths of a video signal automatically to others in response to a user's selection when a new video signal is inputted via a video interfacer while a video signal is currently displayed. CONSTITUTION: It is periodically checked whether a new video signal is inputted or not while a video signal is currently displayed(300). When the new video signal is inputted, a message regarding the input of the new video signal is displayed together with a predetermined menu for selecting display of the new video signal(302). This new video signal is displayed(304) or the currently displayed video signal is maintained in response to a menu selection signal(308).
