<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pure water production apparatus which can efficiently produce treated water having a low concentration of boron. <P>SOLUTION: Water to be treated is passed through an RO (retro-osmotic membrane) device 1, and permeate is passed through a boron adsorption device 2. Water from which boron has been removed by adsorption during passing through the boron adsorption device 2 is passed through an electric deionization device 3, and electrically deionized water is taken out as the treated water. Concentrate in the electric deionization device 3 may be discarded, or may be returned to the upstream of the RO device 1 through return piping 4 to be added to the water to be treated.
