<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a full toroidal continuously variable transmission having compact construction for suppressing the temperature rise of a roller without reducing the capability and life of the transmission even when the roller has a smaller diameter. <P>SOLUTION: In the roller 14 for transmitting torque between an input disc 3 and an output disc 12 and a rotating shaft 15 integrally provided on the roller 14, passages 21, 22 are provided, respectively, in which a lubricating oil (cooling medium) flows to be supplied to contact portions of the roller 14 with both discs 3, 12, in sequence. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
