<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device with high contrast, high luminance, and reduced light leakage, preferably enabled to reduce in thickness. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device comprises a light source, and a light guide plate 12 which guides light of the light source inside from a side surface and emits the light propagated therein from an emission surface. A prism shape for reflecting the light propagating in the light guide plate 12 and emitting it at the emission surface side is formed on the emission surface of the light guide plate 12, and a protection layer 15 is laminated on a surface opposite to the emission surface of the light guide plate 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
