PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cycloalkyl alkyl ether, in which the cycloalkyl alkyl ether which is a target product can efficiently be recovered in high purity and high yield from a reaction mixture by addition reaction of an alicyclic olefin with an alcohol. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the cycloalkyl alkyl ether by carrying out addition reaction of a 3-20C alicyclic olefin with a 1-4C alcohol in the presence of an acid catalyst, the coexisting alcohol is extracted and removed by washing the reaction mixture after addition reaction with water.
