<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always and easily select a desired broadcasting station with the same button operations of the same remote control transmitter by enabling the button operations to be executed with names of affiliates, for example, even when a region code is changed due to moving or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The video equipment is provided with a region code table on the equipment body side. It executes channel selecting operations of the region set in accordance with the signal from the remote control transmitter by setting an arbitrary region code. The remote control transmitter 11 is provided with a button representing a group name 11a having a plurality of buttons for group names on which the group names of each broadcasting station beyond the region are respectively described. When the equipment body receives an arbitrary group name signal transmitted from the remote control transmitter 11, it searches the channel data of the region code which are previously set on the basis of the signal for group names.
