<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apodizer manufactured at low cost and capable of flattening the beam intensity distribution of light beams having various cross-sectional shapes. <P>SOLUTION: In the apodizer 1 where a beam correction part 30 is formed on the surface of a plate-like base plate 10 and which flattens the beam intensity distribution of the light beam by transmitting the light beam through the beam correction part 30, the beam correction part 30 is constituted by concentrically layering and arranging a plurality of thin films 31 and 31 having specified transmittance to the light beam, and the thin films 31 and 31 are formed like steps in which they get smaller gradually and a layering direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
