STEEL FIBER ADHESIVE COMPRISING POLYACRYL COPOLYMER AND ETHYLENE-VINYL ACETATE RESIN, AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: Provided are a steel fiber adhesive which is used to adhere a plurality of steel fibers for the reinforcement of concrete to form a bundle of steel fiber, and allows steel fibers to be dispersed to wings when steel fibers are mixed with concrete, to improve the toughness of concrete structure, and its preparation method. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of injecting a solvent into a reactor and injecting an acrylic acid monomer and a catalyst to the reactor to polymerize it; injecting sodium hydroxide, cooling it and injecting water to prepare a water-soluble polyacryl copolymer; and mixing the water-soluble polyacryl copolymer with an ethylene-vinyl acetate resin to prepare an adhesive. Preferably the ratio of the water-soluble polyacryl copolymer to the ethylene-vinyl acetate resin is 1-50 : 50-99 by weight. Preferably the obtained adhesive has a pH of 8-10 and a viscosity of 4,000-8,000 cps.
