<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the new structure of a switching part, in which the switching part having a switching element with an induced malfunction is corrected and constructed so as to recover performance equal to that of a switching part having a normal switching element, and a method for correcting the switching element with the induced malfunction. <P>SOLUTION: In an electrooptical device having an electro-optic layer, an electrode 112P to apply an electric field to the electro-optic layer, and switching means A, B connected with conductivity between a power feeding line 112a and the electrode for the purpose of supplying a specified electric potential to the electrode, a bypass route 113d equipped with backup switching means C, D connected to a part of electric supply routes 113a, 113b, 113c between the power feed line and the electrode in parallel is arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
