PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new alkylvinyl ether-substituted trinulear polyphenol useful as an electronic display material raw material or various functional chemicals or their raw materials, etc. SOLUTION: The alkyl vinyl ether-substituted trinuclear polyphenol is represented by general formula 1 (wherein R1 and R2 are each independently a 1-4C alkyl group; n is an integer of 0-3). A method for producing the alkyl vinyl ether-substituted trinuclear polyphenyl comprises reacting 1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4,4-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)cyclohexanes represented by general formula 2 (wherein R2 and n are each the same as those in general formula 1) with 2-haloalkylvinyl ethers in the presence of an alkali.
