To provide a discharged waste processing material for pet animals, which can be obtained by using a waste material as represented by a beverage pack and which has a high urine absorbing property and a high urine retaining property. A discharged waste processing material for pet animals comprising a waste material of double sided water resistant paper used as a raw material, the double sided water resistant paper having a laminate layer of a water resistant film formed on each of double surfaces thereof, a crushed paper piece 2' used as a chief material, the crushed paper piece 2' being obtained by finely crushing the double sided water resistant paper and having the laminate layer 5', 6' formed on each of double surfaces thereof, a granular body 7 formed of an aggregate of the crushed paper pieces 2'. the granular body 7 having a void structure formed between the laminate layers 5', 6' of adjacent crushed paper pieces 2', the void structure guiding a discharged urine 12 into a core part of the granular body 7, and the granular body 7 having a water retaining structure in which the discharged urine 12 is absorbed into a paper layer 4' between the double sided laminate layers 5', 6' through a sheared surface 9 of each crushed paper piece 2', and the absorbed urine 12 is cut off by the double sided laminate layers 5', 6' so that the urine 12 is retained in the paper layer 4'.
