<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sealing back-up ring for sealing gas leaking through an O-ring rubber or others. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sealing back-up ring comprises a rubber layer provided in a wall contact portion of the back-up ring. The gas sealing back-up ring has a back-up ring body formed of a resin or metal having high gas barrier performance for preventing gas from leaking therethrough and the rubber layer provided in the wall contact portion for sealing gas leakage such as gap leakage occurring in the single back-up ring body. Particularly, when the back-up ring and an O-ring are installed on an atmosphere side and on a sealed gas side, respectively, the gas leaking through the O-ring can be completely sealed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
