PURPOSE: A variable valve lift apparatus of an engine is provided to obtain the optimal intake and exhaust condition throughout the operational range of the engine by automatically increasing the valve lift in operating the engine from low speed to high speed and deceasing the valve lift in operating the engine from high speed to low speed. CONSTITUTION: A variable valve lift apparatus of an engine comprises a lift cam(9) fixing a turning shaft(7) to a tappet(5) and having a cam profile to vary the distance from the turning shaft to a stem end of a valve(3) in rotating around the turning shaft, a blade(11) turning the lift cam by pressing with hydraulic pressure supplied to the tappet, a spring elastically supporting the lift cam in the opposite direction of turning of the lift cam by hydraulic pressure, a stopper unit restricting the turning angle of the lift cam to the tappet, and an oil supply passage(13) supplying oil pressure to the tappet according to the speed of the engine.
