摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a liquid crystal display by which spacer particles can be selectively disposed efficiently and highly accurately in a light shielding region of a substrate for the liquid crystal display using an ink jet device and the liquid crystal display presenting excellent display quality without generation of a depolarization phenomenon caused by the spacer particles and reduction of contrast and a color tone due to leakage of light can be obtained. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display comprises pixel regions arranged according to a fixed pattern and the light shielding region demarcating the pixel regions and is manufactured by opposing the substrate formed by ejecting a spacer particle dispersion liquid in which the spacer particles are dispersed by using the ink jet device and disposing the spacer particles in a region corresponding to the light shielding region to a substrate on which the spacer particles are not disposed via the spacer particles disposed in the region corresponding to the light shielding region and a liquid crystal. In the manufacture of the liquid crystal display, liquid drops of the spacer particle dispersion liquid are landed so as to include a step difference part formed in the region corresponding to the light shielding region of at least one substrate and the spacer particles are made to stay within the region corresponding to the light shielding region.
