PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a galvannealed steel sheet which has superior surface properties, and particularly has reduced streaky flaw. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the galvannealed steel sheet employs a dead soft steel sheet containing 0.004 mass% or less C for a base sheet.The steel sheet used for the base sheet has an S content adjusted to a value higher than the threshold of an S quantity, which is determined according to the purity of the steel sheet.
