PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device capable of naturally commanding a robot visually recognizing the motion of a commander while moving, and changing subsequent operation according to the motion of the visually recognized commander. SOLUTION: This instructing device 300 for instructing the robot visually recognizing the motion of a person while moving, and changing subsequent operation according to the motion of the visually recognized person, is composed of a camera 340 continuously photographing the person, and a display part 320 comprising LEDs 322 arranged in matrix shape. The display part 320 almost simultaneously reproduces and displays the motion of the person photographed by the camera 340, and is arranged facing the person with the robot placed in between.
