PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roentgenographic system which has the function of setting the initial value for the Ready status release time suitable for imaging. SOLUTION: The roentgenographic system is constituted of a subject arrival interval measuring part which measures the interval in the arrival of the subject, a data memory part for storing the values measured by the subject arrival interval measuring part and a Ready status release time calculation part which calculates the time for releasing the Ready status of the sensor based on the results of the measurement by the measuring part and the Ready status release time of the sensor is automatically updated. An initial value calculation means is provided to calculate the initial value of the Ready status release time suitable for the imaging and in this system, it calculates the initial value from a plurality of measured values stored in the data memory part or retrieves the measured values alone necessary for the calculation of the initial value from among those stored in the data memory part to perform the required calculation.
