PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mediating method in which a contract with a lessor can be completed in a short period of time and an article can be provided immediately after the contract is made.

SOLUTION: A mediating server 20 registers on a lessor terminal 10 lessor information, i.e. information including an area of a desired property for rent and a desired rent (101). The mediating server 20 classifies registered information by the most important area and stores it (104). When there is a request for mediation from a lessee terminal 30, the lessee is made to register a desired area for a property for rent and lessor information of the area is presented (107). The lessee terminal 108 having received the presentation inquires several pieces of lessor information (108) and the mediating server 20 urges to an inquired lessor terminal 10 determine whether a bid is put in (109 to 112). Then the lessee terminal 30 applies for renting to one of lessors according to bit results (114) and the mediating server 20 informs the lessor terminal 30 of that (115).
