<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data input device, an image processing device and a data input method that reliably prevents a user's wrong operation of keys and confusion about the keys. <P>SOLUTION: An MFP having the data input device, if receiving a direction involving image data sending, out of a plurality of types of directions to display a destination setting screen for an input of an image data destination on an operation panel part, performs settings with the arrangement of a start key for directing a start of image data sending processing in the destination setting screen (S103).
