PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a stabilized imaging body which is little in quality decrease of an image and/or a character which is imaged by printing or coating, and to provide a body to be imaged thereby. SOLUTION: An image and/or a character is imaged on a surface of a body to be imaged comprising a polyacetal or polyester by a sublimable printing ink or disperse dye. The imaging body is held by heating at 100-160°C, preferably at 130-155°C for 5-60 min, preferably for 10-30 min. The sublimable ink or disperse dye is diffused principally in a thickness direction of imaging the body and, as occasion demands, the imaging body of≥2mm in depth of a diffusion layer is imaged in a vacuum state of≥1 Torr and <760 Torr to provide the method for making the imaging body and the imaging body thereby.
