The wheel assembly for a light vehicle has a bearing forming a separate component, a shaft journal fitted to the vehicle upon which the wheel body (10) is rotatably supported on the bearing, and a brake drum with means of fitting it on the axial end of the wheel hub (3). The brake drum is also supported on the shaft journal by means of a bearing. The bearings are cylindrical having circumferential faces concentric to one another, and especially rolling or ball bearings. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a wheel body with a hub supporting a ring of protrusions (9) or recesses separate from one another on the end face (5); (b) a brake drum with a ring of openings or protrusions interacting with protrusions or recesses in the wheel body; and (c) a kit for vehicle wheels having different functions.
