<p>The system automatically sorts items transported by conveyor according to their density, being particularly for treatment vessels. The conveyor (16) passes through a liquid bath whose density is equal to that of the vessels (24) of maximum density so that these rest on the conveyor, while the lighter ones (24') float off it and are removed. There may be a deflector above the immersed length of the conveyor, directing the floating vessels towards a removal mechanism, and a control is also included to keep the liquid level in the bath constant. The vessels can be arranged upright and in line on the conveyor, with lateral guides to prevent them upsetting.</p> |
