The fitting, having a fitting part (7), possesses a foot (8) which is provided at the respective ends (11, 12) with two legs (13, 14) which are arranged in a V-shaped manner and between which a free space (16) is formed. The foot (8) has a width which is somewhat smaller than the clear width between the webs (6) in the window frame (1). The fitting part (7) is inserted into the groove (2), and the legs (13, 14) are subsequently spread apart, so that they are located underneath the webs (6), with the result that the fitting part (7) is held in the groove (2) in a manner preventing it from being lifted out. The fitting part (7) can thus be inserted after the completion of the window frame (1), without special recesses having to be provided for this purpose. <IMAGE> |
