CALL PROCESSING SYSTEM AND METHOD USING SUBSCRIBER'S MEDIA INFORMATION IN SIP-BASED NETWORK, PARTICULARLY FOR CHECKING MEDIA INFORMATION OF DESTINATION SUBSCRIBER IN ADVANCE BY REFERRING TO SUBSCRIBER MEDIA INFORMATION SERVER AND PROCESSING CALL BY USING SUITABLE MEDIA INFORMATION WHEN CONNECTING AN SIP CALL

摘要

PURPOSE: A call processing system and method using subscriber's media information in an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)-based network are provided to reduce exchanging of an unnecessary message to reduce a load of a network. CONSTITUTION: An origination terminal(11) transmits an SIP call connection request message including media information. A receiving terminal(16) is connected for call communication with the origination terminal(11). A receiving side soft switch(15) controls a call of the receiving terminal(16). An originating side soft switch(12) receives the call connection request message of the origination terminal(11), changes information of a media of the call connection request message to information of a media supportable between the origination terminal(11) and the receiving terminal(16), and transmits the changed call connection request message to the receiving side soft switch(15). A number translation server(13) checks whether the information of the media of the call connection request message can be supportable by the receiving terminal(16) and provides the information of the media supportable between the origination terminal(11) and the receiving terminal(16) to the originating side soft switch(12). A subscriber media information server(14) searches the information of the media of the origination terminal(11) and the receiving terminal(16) and provides the information of the media supportable between the origination terminal(11) and the receiving terminal(16) to the number translation server(13).
