A method of producing a thin packaging laminate (10) for a packaging container (20) for a liquid or flowing food product, which method comprises the following steps: (a) unwinding a thin paper web (12a) from a first roll, (b) unwinding a film (14a) consisting of a heat-sealable thermoplastic material having a dark pigment included therein, from a second roll, (c) uniting said thin paper web (12a) and said film (14a) of a heat-sealable thermoplastic material in a first nip, while extruding a laminate layer (15) consisting of a thermoplastic material having a white pigment included therein, between said thin paper web (12a) and said film (14a) of a heat-sealable thermoplastic material, (d) extruding, in a second nip, an outer heat-sealable layer (13) consisting of a thermoplastic material, on an opposing side of the thin paper web (12a). The invention also relates to a method of forming a packaging container (20) from the packaging laminate. |
