PURPOSE: An expansion device for orthodontics is provided to adjust a spacing distance by rotating a worm gear and a worm screw, thereby easily and minutely manipulating the expansion device. CONSTITUTION: A left member(5) is connected to a right member(4) by two connecting pins(3) and a center screw(1) fastened to a center of the connecting pins. By rotating the center screw, the left member is widened towards a left side, and a right member is widened towards a right side. A worm gear(2) is formed at a middle portion of the center screw. The worm gear is engaged with a worm screw(6) to rotate a worm screw handle(7). A worm screw fixing device(8) is provided to the connecting pin and the center screw to effectively rotate the worm screw.
