PURPOSE: A device for scarfing cutting surface of a skelp is provided to obtain a flat cutting surface by maintaining uniform skelps in width and cutting both cutting surfaces of the skelp with a bite and without using a milling machine for cutting, thereby improve the quality of a welding portion. CONSTITUTION: A device for scarfing cutting surface of a skelp comprises an inlet guide roll, a side guide roll(10), a first cutting block(20), a second cutting block(50), an outlet guide roll(60). The inlet guide roll is constituted by supporting an upper roll(3) and a lower roll(4) by means of upper and lower brackets(6,6a). A pair of side guide rolls(13,13a) for regulating the width of the skelp are provided on a pair of roll supports(12) in which screw threads are formed so that a shaft having a right screw thread and a left screw thread are inserted thereinto. The upper portions of the side guide rolls are engaged with a tie rod(14) by using an engaging member. The side rolls maintains the interval by a predetermined distance by using the tie rod. The interval between the side guide rolls(13a) is regulated by rotating a handle of the shaft.
