PURPOSE: A terminal and a method for providing a call originating service using a shortcut key are provided to detect service-related information corresponding to a user designated in the shortcut key from an address book and output the detected service -related information on a display unit. CONSTITUTION: A shortcut key processing unit(30) detects service-related information corresponding to a user designated in a shortcut key from an address book, and outputs detected service association information. The shortcut key processing unit(30) outputs a screen for the use of a desired service selected from the service-related information by a user on a displaying unit(40). The shortcut key processing unit(30) sets a number designated in the shortcut key as a termination number. A control unit(20) outputs a call originating request signal for a corresponding service.
