<p>The desired reaction conditions are determined, i.e. the sub-criticality (ro), the thermal or electrical yield and the quantity and type of fuel. This is carried out in the conventional manner. In a preferred implementation, coupling between the sub-critical core and the accelerator, accords with a cited document by A. Gandini, M. Salvatores and I. Slessarev. This provides that a fixed fraction f of the power produced by the system, is consumed to supply the accelerator. An independent claim is included for the corresponding system.</p> |
