A composition of plant components comprising dried and optionally pulverized parts and optionally also conventional pharmaceutical additives consists of a herbal mixture of (a) Momordica charantia (bitter melon); and (b) dried and optionally pulverized lemon-grass, peppermint leaves, hip shells, hibiscus fruit sepals, linden flowers, orange peel, vanilla, gingko leaves, cardamom, licorice roots or cocoa.
