PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for nondestructive inspection using a guide wave are provided to allow inspection for a wave in a long distance by using guide wave receiving and transmitting elements. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for nondestructive inspection using a guide wave includes a wave making unit, a guide wave transmitting element, a guide wave receiving element, an analysis unit(5),and a display unit(7). The wave making unit makes a transmission wave by using a reference wave. The guide wave transmitting element generates a guide wave based on the transmission wave. The guide wave receiving element receives a reflection wave of the guide wave from a detection area of a sample to be detected. The analysis unit outputs detection information obtained by the receiving waveform of the reflection wave received by the guide wave receiving element.
