An apparatus (10) for preparing and dispensing liquid beverage comprises closed containing (14) having the liquid (16) at a predetermined level into which a gas/liquid contactor module (24) is partially immersed. The module (24) has a gas supply channel (32) to the bore side of a bunch of hollow fibers (12), a liquid supply channel (36) to the shell side of the fibers and exit port (34) for transporting gas containing liquid. The remaining space (18) of the container is filled with a pressurized gas.
