The glass fiber production device has a rotary unit with several large diameter holes formed along its peripheral wall, and a hole-less portion defined between the holes circumferentially and/or axially to create a gas discharge flow around the peripheral edge of the flame flow, and a compressed discharge flow at an acute angle. An independent claim is also included for glass fiber production method.
