Television conference system

The system has a speech quantity information obtaining system that obtains speech quantity information related to quantity of speech of each of a set of participants during a conference. An image switching system switches images displayed on the displays of a set of terminal devices (2a-2e) from the previous participant to the participant currently making a remark by one of a set of different switching methods. An independent claim is also included for a method for switching images employed in a television conference system.
