A device for adjusting the length of a safety belt is disclosed, in which a belt-securing bar for locking/releasing the diagonal belt is installed between a buckle type main body of the device and a belt securer so as to make it possible to arbitrarily adjust the angle of the diagonal belt suitably to the body size of a small adult or a little child. Thus the rider can maintain the optimum wearing comfortableness of the safety belt, and any loosening of the diagonal belt an accident can be prevented, thereby minimizing the human life sacrifice. A main body part (110) includes a support part (120) formed on its lower portion. A vertical belt passing hollow (130) is formed within the support part (120), and a support part coupler (150) coupled to the rear portion of the main body part (110) in a unitized form, while two pairs of bolt coupling holes (170) and two pairs of coupling protrusions (160) are symmetrically formed on both of upper edges of the main body part (110). A belt securer (210) includes a pair of projections (180) for being coupled to the main body part (110). A pair of inclined slots (190) are formed in the projections (180) respectively, and two pairs of coupling slots (220) are for being coupled to the coupling protrusions (160) of the main body part, while a belt passing hollow (230) is formed upon coupling the main body part (110) to the belt securer (210) so as to make a diagonal belt (100b) pass through it. |
