FIELD: metal working, namely cutting of hard-to-work materials. ^ SUBSTANCE: milling cutter includes on body of cutting portion continuous teeth of the same direction and inclination angle relative to cutter axis and alternating with them portions of body f the same direction and inclination angle with stepped teeth of other direction and other inclination angle. In order to lower labor consumption and to provide uniform load of cutting edges at cutting, inclination angle of stepped teeth is equal to zero and portions of body have width equal to width of continuous tooth and the same cross section as continuous tooth. Pitch of stepped teeth is selected in such a way that their cutting edges were mutually overlapped in direction of cutting. ^ EFFECT: reduced labor consumption, uniform load of cutting edges of milling cutter at cutting process. ^ 3 dwg |
