Settings are calculated corresponding to a preset radiation pattern. Single antennas (1) are weighted with a preset availability vector (w s). They are then divided into preset virtual sub-arrays (U). Weighting factors (w 0,K) are calculated for the sub-arrays so that a radiation pattern corresponds to the total of the virtual sub-arrays in a desired radiation pattern.
