PURPOSE: To provide a seedling-raising container comprising a main container and a subcontainer for covering the opening-formed region of the main container, capable of removing the subcontainer on the setting of a seedling and setting the seedling together with the main container, capable of improving the growth of the roots of the seedling, and useful for the young seedling of a fruit tree, a vegetable, etc. CONSTITUTION: A container for raising a seedling comprises a main synthetic resin container wherein plural openings 12 passing from the inside of a cylindrical body 11 having a tapered part to the outside are formed in the lower peripheral part of the cylindrical body 11, and a synthetic resin subcontainer 2 formed in a shape for covering the opening-formed region of the main container. Depressions or projections are preferably formed on the inner surface of the subcontainer 2, and projections 16 or depressions are preferably formed on the outer surface of the main container 1 at positions corresponding to the depressions or projections of the inner surface of the subcontainer 2.
