PREPARATION OF SNACK FOOD

Production of a snack food half product comprises heating a layer of a slurry of food material to gelatinise it, drying the gelatinised slurry, cutting the gelatinised slurry into pieces and further drying the cut pieces. The half product can be heated to produce a snack food product.
