The lifting facility for rail vehicles has several lifting stands (3) each with a vertically movable lifting carriage (5) in which is installed a horizontally movable outrigger (7). The lifting stands are arranged on both sides along a longitudinal center plane (9), and at least one lifting stand is allocated to a stand on the opposite side of the center plane, forming a lifting stand pair (11). The outriggers of at least one lifting stand pair are coupled under load in such a way that the outriggers are movable synchronously in the same direction transversely to the center plane.
