PURPOSE: To provide a water purifier using a ball type textile filter media, which is able to filter contaminated water from lakes, rivers, drainage, wastewater treatment equipments and the like, extract and separate highly concentrated and highly turbid filtered water. CONSTITUTION: The water purifier comprises a cylindrical housing that includes a raw water inlet, a treated water pipe, and a water discharge pipe, an outer porous pipe (13) that is installed in the housing along a shaft line and includes many first perforated holes (13-1), a rotation concavo-convex porous pipe (11) that is installed in the outer porous pipe and includes many concavo-convex portions and second perforated holes, a ball type textile filter media (12) that is packed between the outer porous pipe and the pipe (11), a driving means that is connected with one end of the pipe (11), a pump (22) that is connected with the other end of the pipe (11) to allow water to pass through the raw water inlet, first perforated hole, textile filter media and second perforated hole in sequence and a conversion means that is connected with an exit of the pump to selectively convert the flow of the water into either the treated water pipe or the water discharge pipe.
