The arrangement has an accommodation shaft (2) in which an inserted insert (3) is held in a useful position and a functional element positioned in the reach of an occupant, whereby a further functional element can be positioned in the occupant's reach if required. The further functional element, e.g. a cup holder (3.41) or CD sleeve (3.52), is arranged on the same insert and this has a second useful position in a rotated position in the shaft in which the second element is accessible to the occupant.
