Method for production of an optical concentrator system, especially a solar concentrator, that comprises primary and secondary reflectors in which parameters for the apex and shape of the secondary reflector and the position and dimensions of the planar receiver are determined using a number of process steps that serve to produce as uniform as possible radiation in the plane of the receiver. Initially the secondary reflector is defined using Head's equation and the equation parameters are then optimized. An independent claim is made for a concentrator system comprising spherical primary and concave, relative to the primary, secondary reflectors.
