Flow is generated through a support fan (3) in an ambient control unit. Flow speed of ambient air around a temperature probe (2) at the center of a cylindrical body (6) is higher than maximum air speed in a room, whose temperature is to be measured. The temperature probe is a resistance thermometer. The support fan works in a sucking operation. An independent claim is also included for a method of compensating for errors of measurement during temperature measurement in rooms of buildings.
