PURPOSE:To secure the instant detection of ignition and extinguishment, compose the burning device having high safety by a method wherein a burning detecting means is formed by an ion electrode which consists of a ceramic resistant body having N type transistor property. CONSTITUTION:A fuel gas jetted through a fuel jetting nozzle 1 sucks-in an air required for burning by the ejector effect, ignited on a metal gauze burner 4 after uniformed in a mixing pipe 2. At the forming of a flame, an ion electric current is flowed between an ion electrode 5 and the burner 4, while an electric voltage V2 between both ends of the electrode 5 is measured by a detector 12, then the burning is confirmed. At the igniting time, as the ion electrode is low temperature and the resistance is large, the electric voltage V2 is large, then the ion electrode is heated by the turning gas, thereby the electric resistance is lowered, and output signal V1 is also lowered, and reaches the constant value. At the extinguishment, the ion electric current becomes zero, that is, V2=0, the flame extinguishment can be detected instantaneously. Further, in case that the amount of sucked-in air is reduced in a room where the ventilation is not good condition, when the air ratio of a mixing gas becomes mu=1.0, the electric resistance is decreased rapidly, accordingly, the output signal becomes nearly zero, then the operation is stopped. |
