PURPOSE: An emergency notification and picture transmission system using a wire telephone and a portable phone is provided to minimize the damage of various accidents by promptly notifying an external phone of an emergency situation through a wire telephone or a portable phone, connected to a detection part, in case that the detection part works as the emergency situation occurs. CONSTITUTION: A wire telephone(10), installed at an arbitrary place of a home, is connected with a detection part(20), installed at an arbitrary place of the home. In case that the detection part(20) detects an emergency situation, the wire telephone(10) makes a call to a previously stored phone number's external phone(10A) so that the user can catch the emergency situation in a remote place. The detection part(20) consists of a door opening prevention magnetic switch(22) and an infrared sensor(24). If a relay(26) works as the magnetic switch(22) and the infrared sensor(24) are operated, the hook switch of the wire telephone(10) is operated to call the external phone(10A). An alarm sound generator(32) is connected to the contact(26A) of the relay(26) so that an alarm signal can be sent around the spot.
