PURPOSE:To obtain an immunomodulator or an antiallergic drug having low influence on calcium metabolism in organisms, by adding a 9,10-seco-5,7,10(19) pregnatriene derivative as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:One or more novel 9,10-seco-5,7,10(19)-pregnatriene derivatives shown by the formula (R1, R2 and R3 are H or OH) are pharmaceutically manufactured into the form of oral agent or injection by a conventional procedure to give the aimed substance. A dose is 0.01-10mug, preferably 0.1-5mug per adult daily. Since the aimed substance exerts smaller influence on calcium metabolism in organisms than existing vitamin D agent, a large does can be administered. The compound shown by the formula is obtained from pregnenolone acetate or dehydroepiandrosterone as a raw material substance.
