PURPOSE: A method for registering a location of a GSM subscriber in a CDMA network is provided to register a location of a GSM subscriber in a CDMA network while maintaining an MIN system of a CDMA network without a changing work for receiving IMSI of the GSM subscriber. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal into which a SIM(Subscriber Information Module) card is inserted transmits IMSI(International Mobile Station identity) information stored at the SIM card and MIN(Mobile Identification Number) information of the mobile terminal to a gateway location register, and the gateway location register forms an MIN-IMSI mapping table within the gateway location register(S100). A location of the mobile terminal is registered by converting a GSM(Global System for Mobile communications) authentication message and an authentication response message into messages receivable by a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) network and authenticating a GSM subscriber(S200).
