PURPOSE: A fishing method is provided to eliminate the bycatch of marine mammals by self-ship management and eliminate the capture of young fish so as not to deplete marine resources. CONSTITUTION: In the fishing method, capturing targets are captured by a net. Gill nets(4,5,6) are cast along the sides of a stopped ship(1). Capturing targets caught in the gill nets(4,5,6) is captured with the fishing ship(1) being stopped. By this method, a fuel cost per operation becomes lower, and the operating efficiency is increased by expanding a number of days of operation, so this fishing method is a new, stable fishing method.
