PURPOSE: A detachable keypad unit having a remote controller function in a mobile terminal is provided to allow a user to perform long distance photographing without a terminal body and store a clear image. CONSTITUTION: A terminal body(1) includes an LCD panel(2) and a camera(3) formed at one side, a receiving space(1a) formed at the other side and a connection terminal(16) formed at one inner surface of the receiving space(1a). A keypad(4) is detachably inserted in the receiving space(1a) and includes a connector(5) formed at one side corresponding to the connection terminal(16), a touch pad LCD(6) formed at one side of an upper surface, and a plurality of function operation keys(7) formed at the other side of the upper surface. A coupling unit couples the terminal body(1) and the keypad(4) in the receiving space(1a). A wireless transmitter/receiver(8) is provided at a front end side of the keypad(4) and communicates with the terminal body(1). A secondary battery is installed inside the keypad(4) and provides power. A power switch controls power of the secondary battery supplied to the keypad(4) when the key pad(4) is separated from the terminal body(1).
